посавская гончая, фото, фотографияПосавская гончая мускулистая, плавных очертаний, с густой грубой шерстью ярко - красного окраса.
Насыщенный окрас наиболее типичный и предпочтительный, но встречаются посавские гончие палевого и желто-рыжего окраса с белыми отметинами или без них. Высота в холке 43-59 см, вес 16-20 кг.
Словенские охотники издавна ценили своих подвижных и энергичных гончих, происходивших из Посавской долины. В их происхождении много загадок. Одна из легенд гласит в ответ на мольбу бедной женщины к Божьей Матери свершилось чудо, и семь гончих явились утешить ее семью, проживавшую на Адриатическом побережье. Эти семь собак значительно отличались от других гончих Югославии, но очень походили на современных посавских. Семья использовала их для охоты на оленя и зайца. Собаки оказались хорошими охотниками и спасли разоренную бедностью семью, посеяв семена современной породы.
Порода признана FCI.
Как охотник посавская гончая очень старательна и разумна. Хотя охотничьи инстинкты у этой породы сильно развиты, она успешно выступает и в роли сторожевой собаки. Отзывчивый и покладистый нрав делает ее домашним любимцем. Посавской гончей абсолютно необходима большая физическая нагрузка, так как она очень активна от природы.
